Most brides in a bridal fashion show

Sri Lanka set a record for the most brides in a bridal fashion show. The record was achieved on January 2, 2018, at the Bandaranayake Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo. A total of 73 brides participated in the event. This record-breaking event was organized by Event Media Private Limited.

The brides were styled in many different ways. Around 100 beauticians worked hard to do their makeup and prepare the brides for the fashion show. Each bride could choose her own style, making the event truly unique and personal for everyone involved.
The previous record was held in France, where 54 brides took part in a fashion show in Paris in 2011. Sri Lanka’s event easily surpassed this number with 73 brides, setting a new milestone in bridal fashion shows.

Criteria

There were specific rules set by the Guinness World Records for this event. The brides could not be professional models. Instead, they had to be women who had gotten married within the past three months. To be eligible for the event, their marriages had to be registered between October 2, 2018, and January 2, 2019. This ensured that only real brides, not models, were part of the show.

Each participant in the event received a certificate for their involvement. However, it is important to note that these certificates were not official Guinness World Records certificates. They were simply awarded to recognize the brides for taking part in this historic event.
